Up Close & Personal
In addition to her professional achievements, Linda has a rich commitment to
serving others, evident even when she was a young student. She was named
“Teenager of the Year” by Junior League in a tri-state region (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware)
and

service to the community. Among her most memorable service projects was
organizing a mission to an Appalachian coal mining town in West Virginia.
As an adult, her community service has spanned the globe, and she has traveled
worldwide for work and pleasure. She accompanied the American team that
performed the first open heart surgery in Central Asia, where she also
volunteered for an orphan adoption program.
She recently gave a lecture on philanthropy to the Beijing Medical Society in
Beijing, China.
She has lived in France; has successfully raised two daughters, one of whom is
developmentally disabled; is a gourmet cook; and loves to sail.
